Arrive
Arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled class. When you enter the studio, come to the front desk for check-in. The front desk staff speaks both French and English. We’ll show you where to find our bathroom and changing rooms. Grab your water bottle, lock your belongings (no need to bring a lock!), and head to class.
Settle in
Grab a mat and locate the pole you booked; then get social while you wait for class to start.
Enjoy!
Enjoy class! Before the session ends, you’ll have the opportunity to film yourself and any tricks or choreography you learned.
FAQ
-
What should I wear to class? You should wear whatever you feel comfortable moving in, whether that’s a full-coverage outfit or a bikini. Please respect everyone’s choice of clothing as it may differ from yours. In Peach 60, heels, chair, or HIIT classes, long pants/leggings are fine in because we will not be doing inversions or aerial tricks that require much skin contact. That being said, for technique classes, please wear shorts (or special grippy leggings) as you will otherwise not be able to perform certain exercises.
-
I’ve never danced. I don’t have much strength. What classes can I join? All classes are open to you! This is why we created The Peach! We don’t expect you to be an Olympic athlete in order to take a class with us. Our instructors will meet you where you are and teach exercises that anyone can benefit from, including offering modifications if necessary to accommodate different levels. (The exception would be our intermediate-level pole technique class, for which you should have some prior pole experience.)
-
What should I expect when coming to the studio? We’ve designed The Peach to create an easy and welcoming experience. Simply ring the doorbell and we’ll let you in. Someone will be at the front desk to show you around and check you in for class. We’ve got changing rooms with showers and all the equipment you’ll need. In the classroom, simply grab a mat and find your pole. Don’t hesitate to ask the instructor if you have questions. If you have time after class, we provide fresh tea to students while you mingle and meet. You can also hang out or work from our coworking area before and after class. We have refreshments and snacks available for sale.
-
What do I need to bring to class?Other than clothes you feel comfortable moving in, there’s nothing else you need to bring. We recommend bringing a water bottle though to stay hydrated during class. We provide mats and any other equipment you may need, but feel free to bring your own mat if you prefer. Finally, some people like to use liquid chalk (aka “Dry Hands”) or other grip aids to help them stick to the pole. If after/during your first class you think this would be helpful, these are for sale at the studio.
-
What language are classes taught in?We offer classes in both French and English, but you should feel comfortable coming to any class regardless of your native language as our instructors will be happy to clarify any questions you may have.
-
Do you have showers?Yes, we’ve got several showers in each changing room and we provide soap, shampoo, and conditioner. At this time, you will need to bring your own towel, but we are working to supply these in the future.
A Deeper Dive Into Why We Created Our Peach 60 Class Model
We believe that any workout needs balance. Balance between strength and flexibility; balance between being challenged and feeling successful. Most importantly, we believe that any workout should be a fun, positive physical and mental experience that will help you grow confident.
The majority of classes follow the standard model outlined above so that you know what to expect and always get the most out of your workout. Over a 60-minute class period, you will begin with a short warmup and continue with sections of pole-based strength training, active stretching, and choreography. Instructors are encouraged to build out this class model according to their strengths and interests as well as to customize movements to individual student abilities. Classes will be taught in French unless indicated as English (EN) on the class schedule.
We also offer a range of other classes for people looking to dive deeper into technical skills or complementary practices such as heels, chair, or yoga.
